Duncan Conner · Founder
Academy Sim Racing was founded by Duncan Conner, a former U.S. Army Ranger who served four combat deployments across Iraq and Afghanistan with the 75th Ranger Regiment, then moved into communications roles supporting special operations at the highest levels of command. That work doesn't leave much room for missed details.
He runs the shop the same way. After leaving the service he took that discipline to the track as a licensed wheel-to-wheel competitor and an instructor for several racing organizations, setting track records at Homestead and Barber Motorsports Park along the way. He still races: the Alliance Racing TT3 350Z with his name on the door.
Give a driver proper instruction and honest data and they get quicker, whether that's a twelve-year-old on their first sim or someone prepping for their first track day.
If you've booked a seat, been talked through your first laps, or watched one of our tutorials, that was Malikai. He keeps the operation running to the standard Duncan sets, and works events alongside him in the lounge and on the road.
He came to it from nursing, which is why he's the one we put in front of our senior and recovery clients. Patience, and knowing how to read someone who's well outside their comfort zone, turns out to transfer straight from a hospital floor to a race seat.
