The real entry — genuine direct drive and a real load-cell brake. No gear-drive wheel, no potentiometer pedals, no compromise on the two things that actually change how you drive.

The Rookie is the doorway into an Academy build. It is a complete, working simulator: chassis, wheelbase, rim, pedals, display, PC and peripherals, assembled and tested by us in Tampa before it goes anywhere near your room.

What's in it

  • Chassis — TrakRacer TR80S, with monitor mount included
  • Wheelbase — Fanatec CSL DD QR2, 8Nm direct drive
  • Wheel — Fanatec CSL P1 V2 round rim (QR2 Lite)
  • Pedals — VNM Lite, with a true load-cell brake
  • Display — 34" curved ultrawide, WQHD, 165Hz
  • PC — built and tested in-house, specced to drive this display at high refresh with headroom to spare
  • Also included — speakers, wireless keyboard and mouse, cabling and surge protection

Why load cell and direct drive matter

A load-cell brake measures how hard you press, not how far — which is how a real brake pedal works, and it is the single biggest thing that makes braking repeatable. Direct drive connects the wheel straight to the motor, so what you feel is the car, not a gearbox. Everything else on a rig can be upgraded later. These two are worth getting right first.

About the PC

We build the PC in-house and spec it to the display it has to drive. Component availability and pricing move constantly, so we do not lock the listing to a fixed part number — we lock it to performance. You will be told the exact build before you pay, and it will not go below the standard for this tier.

How you get it

Built and tested in Tampa, then hand-delivered and set up in your room by the people who built it — placement, cable management, display alignment and a walkthrough so you are driving properly the same day. Delivery outside the Tampa area is quoted per build.

Have a room in mind and not sure what fits? Compare the full range or book a fitting — the fee is credited in full against your build.
