THE ACADEMY 24 — 24 Hours of Daytona

Presented by Academy Sim Racing

The inaugural Academy 24 brings IMSA-style endurance racing to the iRacing community with a multi-class field, full course yellows, fixed setups, and a prize pool that grows with the grid. Race from your home rig or in person at our Tampa lounge.

Mixed teams welcome. Some drivers race from home, others come to the lounge: pay the $20 team entry plus $40 per in-person driver. (Add the team entry once, then add an in-person entry for each lounge driver — adjust the quantity in your cart.)

• 🏎️ Classes: LMP2 · LMDh · GT3

Entry Options

🏠 Online team entry — $20 flat per team. Unlimited drivers — run solo, run with two, run with ten if you want. One entry covers your team for the full 24 hours.

🏁 In person at Academy Sim Tampa — $40 per driver for the full duration of the race. Race from one of our pro-grade simulators in our Tampa lounge, with full access for the duration of the event. Teams running drivers in person pay $40 for each in-person driver, on top of (or instead of) the $20 online team entry.

How to Join the Race

This event is hosted within the Academy Sim Racing League on iRacing. After you complete your purchase:

1. Request to join the Academy Sim Racing League on iRacing. Search "Academy Sim Racing" in the iRacing Leagues section and click Request to Join.
2. We'll approve your request once we verify your purchase. Make sure your iRacing Customer ID is provided at checkout so we can match your order. Teams must list every driver's iRacing Customer ID at checkout.
3. Once approved, the race session will be visible in your iRacing league dashboard — practice, qualifying, and the race.
4. Confirmation email with full instructions, Discord link, and race-week schedule sent within 24 hours of purchase.

Race Rules & Format

• 🔧 Setups: FIXED to the iRacing Endurance Daytona baseline. No adjustments. Decided by driving and strategy, not setup engineering.
• ⚖️ BoP: Locked to the iRacing Rolex 24 BoP. Equal playing field within each class.
• 🟡 Full Course Yellows: Enabled — except no yellows for the first hour. Standard FCY procedures apply after.
• 🔄 Unlapping Under Yellow: Permitted, per standard endurance procedure.
• 👥 Driver Swaps: No minimum drive time, no maximum driver count. Solo, 4-driver team, or 10-driver relay — your call.
• ⚠️ Incident Limit: Penalty for every 120 incident points. Race clean, race smart.
• 🌦️ Weather: Dynamic conditions enabled. Fog, rain, and overcast expected. Come prepared with wet pace and tire strategy.

🏆 Prize Pool

1st place in each class receives a cash prize. Total prize pool scales with the number of entries — the bigger the grid, the bigger the payout.

Final payout breakdown announced one week before the race once the entry list is locked.
